Assign Pager to New User
For New Year Swaps
The GME Office will approve all pending changes/swaps around July 1. If you have changes that should be approved before July 1(off-cycle residents), make the change and email the Blakemore, Sara to have the change approved. If you have swaps which should not be approved until after July 1, please hold off entering those swaps until after July 1.
Logging In
- Go to https://www.medschool.lsuhsc.edu/medical_education/graduate/pagers/.
- If prompted, log in with your LSU username and password.
Pager Listing
All Pagers for the chosen department/program will be shown.
- Serial Number - The serial number listed on the back of the pager unit
- CAP Code - The device number used for radio communication (usually starts with 00)
- Primary Number - The main number assigned to the pager
- Each pager can have multiple numbers assigned. If assigned, these are listed in the respective columns.
- Group Number - If pager is part of a "group" (where paging a single number sends a page to multiple pagers), that number is shwn here.
- Pending Change - Click Change to swap pager to a new user. If a change is pending, click View Change to see pending change.
Swap to New User
- To swap a pager to a new user, click Change corresponding to the pager you wish to swap.
Choose the resident who the pager will be assigned to. All active/incoming residents in your program should be shown in the menu.
If a resident is not shown, use the "Other Name" link and then manually enter in the resident's name.
- Click the blue "Save" link in the bottom right corner. If you do not click the "Save" link, the change will not be saved.
- The pager listing will be updated to indicate a pending change for the chosen pager
- When done making changes/swaps, click Done on the pager listing screen.
Revise or Cancel a Change
- Click View Change for the corresponding pager.
- Make changes as needed.
- To cancel the change/swap, click Cancel Change.
- Click Save
- When done making changes/swaps, click Done on the pager listing screen.
