Coordinators,
If you have not already noticed, all new hire documents are now available for incoming House Officers to begin completing. In the GME Online Appointment Forms system (https://www.medschool.lsuhsc.edu/medical_education/graduate/appointments/), instructions and login/pin codes are located on the New Hire Documents tab. Additionally, pre-populated PER 2s and New Hire Checklists are available here.
For continuing residents, the Academic Year Appointment packets are also available for download. The AY Appointment packets contain the 2019-2020 contract, annual TB test, and Driver Safety form (if necessary). New hires are able to download their Appointment Packet with their other New Hire Documents, but you will need to download/print the packets for your continuing House Officers.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.

We have created this checklist of important dates for New Orleans incoming house officers. The document is also editable so you can add any departmental orientations or important dates your incoming house officers may need.
Programs outside of New Orleans can use this as a template for your orientation information.
Please note that under the New Hire Paperwork section there is a section for you to enter your name and contact information.
If you have any questions please contact Ashley Walker.
Programs participating in the main MATCH this week:
Please go into ERAS and mark all of your matched residents AND any residents you are accepting via SOAP with the “Will Start” checkbox TODAY. I will be importing everyone into New Innovations tomorrow. I have a tight deadline because of all of the preparations which need to be set up for Licensing Day (where matched medical students will be completing the majority of their new hire paperwork). We have gotten confirmation from ERAS that marking anyone with Will Start will NOT cause the match results to be prematurely released. Remember: the MATCH results must be kept confidential and not distributed outside of the program until noon tomorrow (3/15). Releasing this information to anyone before noon can result in a MATCH violation.
Even if none of your incoming residents are all from non-LSU schools, please mark them today also. When importing all 30+ residency programs, it gets too complicated to research which programs did/didn’t match LSU students.
Please contact me if you have any questions.
