Confirm Rotation Sites for 2022-2023 AY
Coordinators,
I’ve gotten a few questions regarding what needs to be done to confirm rotation sites for the new year. This is the email that I’ve sent out in years past. If you’ve already confirmed your rotation sites, thank you. For those who have not yet done it, the info below should clarify what needs to be done. There are also step-by-step screenshots in the presentation from the February 15th meeting.
With match day and new hire onboarding season quickly approaching, the GME office is beginning to prepare everything needed for our new House Officers. To ensure that all new HOs are given access to the appropriate forms for the facilities your programs rotate, we need to ensure that we have accurate data regarding the sites your programs rotate to. Please update the online rotation site listing for your program to reflect where you will have house officers rotating for the 2022-2023 academic year. A few things to remember:
Rotation sites set determine which new hire packets are available as part of the New Hire Forms which are automatically generated
This list will not contain all rotation sites you may rotate to. It consists primarily of our larger partner sites. If you rotate to sites which not listed, that is OK and we do not need to be notified.
If your sites are not properly updated for the academic year, your incoming house officers will not receive the correct hospital appointment packets when they download their new hire paperwork.
University Hospital and Clinics IS NOT University Medical Center - New Orleans. University Hospital and Clinics refers to the facility in Lafayette.
When you first log in, the best thing to do is to click the “Load Rotation Information from 2021-2022 Academic Year” button. That will prevent you from manually having to set the status for each site. You’ll only need to go down the list and make any changes.
