IV.A.5 Accepting House Officer from another Program

All programs are required to verify the adequate performance of an outside House Officer in writing before accepting a trainee from another program. The Program Director must obtain written or electronic verification of previous educational experiences and a summative competency-based performance evaluation of the transferring House Officer directly from his/her training program. Programs cannot offer a position to an applicant until all required documentation is submitted to the LSU GME Office, reviewed by the Director of Accreditation, and approved by the DIO.
