Zoom Etiquette
Be Professional -Â Be on time to meetings, dress appropriately, and sit tall and look directly into the camera when using video.
Set Up Your Tech – Check your Wi-Fi, test your video and audio, and get familiar with the software before entering the meeting.
It is helpful if everyone is on the same version of Zoom
Recommended for anyone with IOS to turn off automatic updates
Using Chromebooks can cause issues
Make sure all faculty/residents are signed on through their LSUHSC-sponsored Zoom account. (Meeting profiles will be already updated)
Use the Zoom waiting room feature to ensure that only invited guests attend the pre-recruitment or interview day. Encourage all candidates to change their Zoom profile name to their full name prior to joining the meeting to ease entry delays.
Appropriate Meeting Space – Ensure your workspace is quiet, clean and has an appropriate background. Or, use a virtual background.
Avoid Embarrassing Mistakes – Pay attention to your video, microphone, and screen sharing settings to avoid embarrassing mistakes.
Always keep the chat rooms appropriate.
Introductions – Make sure to introduce everyone at the beginning.
