Within LSU, the abbreviation EKL is still attached to many department names and locations in multiple systems.  These departments and clinical sites are the remnants of what was once located at Earl K Long Medical Center.  As things were transferred to Our Lady of the Lake, many of the department names were not renamed and continue to be tagged as EKL.  As it stands now, anything labeled EKL is synonymous LSU Health, Baton Rouge.
