Description:	The Interim LSU Public Hospital was the temporary public hospital opened in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina. It operated in the former University Hospital building. After the leasing of the hospital to the University Medical Center Management Corporation with the state's public/private partnership for the hospital, it was renamed Interim LSU Hospital. Upon completion of the new University Medical Center, New Orleans, the interim hospital was officially closed.
