2018-2019 House Officer Salaries Increased
Coordinators,
As discussed in the meeting earlier today, we were informed late last week that the House Officer salaries for the 2018-2019 academic year are increasing. The official salaries have been published to the Knowledge Base: https://lsugme.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/PAYROLL/pages/11698396/House+Officer+Pay+Scale. For each document listed below, you’ll see what needs to be done to handle the updated salary (if anything).
Document | If document signed and submitted to GME Office | If not yet submitted to GME |
New Hire PER 2s | Updated PER 2 with new salary should be downloaded, signed, and submitted to GME | Discard and sign/submit PER 2 with updated salary with new hire packet |
House Officer Contracts | A 1-page addendum needs to be submitted for each contract already submitted to GME. (Contracts already submitted will be processed as they are, but the addendum still needs to be sent). | Download contract with updated contract and submit to GME. |
Appointment Forms | No action required | Download and submit updated form to GME Office |
Promote, Transfer, and Off-Cycle Spreadsheets | No action required | Download and submit updated form to GME Office |
PER 3s | Resubmit signed PER 3 with new salary | Resubmit signed PER 3 with new salary |
Updated documents are now available on the Academic Year Forms site https://www.medschool.lsuhsc.edu/medical_education/graduate/appointments/default.aspx
HO Contract Salary Addendum – in the AY Forms site, there is now an “Other Resources” tab. On this tab, you can download all of the 1-page forms for your entire program, or you can download each house officer’s form individually. Also, there is also a link under the heading “Document Link for House Officer” that can be emailed to your house officers. Each house officer that uses this link can download their own form. (Note: this is only possible for people that have an LSU account. Incoming HOs without an account cannot download their own forms).
Please contact the GME Office if you have any questions.
