Planting the Seeds of Change
On November 17-18, 2015, the ACGME held the first Symposium on Physician Well-Being. This important event brought together representatives from across the medical continuum, as well as well-being experts, to engage in critical discussion necessary to initiate transformational changes.
Goals included:
- Understanding the problem across the continuumAdvising the ACGME Board on how it can be an effective agent of transformational change
- Beginning a national dialogue that leads to change in the culture of the clinical learning environment
- Beginning ongoing collaborations with other organizations to better the well-being of health care professionals
